HIRING SPREE: Google Inc. plans to hire more than 6,200 workers this year in the company's biggest expansion yet. It is unclear how many of these jobs will be based in the U.S. CEO Eric Schmidt said Tuesday that Google will hire more than 1,000 workers in Europe this year.
