Delegates of the American Society of Plumbing Engineers in November elected members to the 2010-2012 Society board of directors. The new board is headed by President William F. Hughes Jr., CPD, LEED AP, FASPE.
"I consider it an honor and a privilege to serve the membership and the Society as the president for the next two years," Hughes said. "I am looking forward to advancing the Society within the plumbing industry and beyond."
The other officers of the 2010-2012 ASPE board of directors are: Vice President, Technical Timothy A. Smith, PE, CPD, FASPE; Vice President, Education Mitchell J. Clemente, CPD; Vice President, Legislative David E. DeBord, CPD, LEED AP; Vice President, Membership Jeffrey L. Ingertson, CPD, FASPE; Vice President, Affiliate William M. Smith; Secretary/Treasurer Gary L. Mahoney, CPD, FASPE; Region 1 Director Paul Silvestre; Region 2 Director Chris L. Graham, CPD; Region 3 Director David Anelli; Region 4 Director Chris W. Scott; and, Region 5 Director Kelvin H. Kennedy.
ASPE said the new board of directors will continue working with the Society staff and members to implement new policies to advance the plumbing engineering profession, including forging new relationships with industry organizations, expanding internationally, providing educational opportunities, and disseminating information via publications and the Internet.
